I’ve known Jana & Sam for awhile now, and since we’re featuring Inked and Hitched couples this week, I decided to turn the spotlight on them for a bit. It was fun interviewing Jana for a change
Tell us about your professions and how you and Sam met.
I’m a photographer and Sam’s a tattoo artist, which is an awesome combo ! We met in a club with different friends and different partners.. He asked if my chest piece was a scarification, because he was interested in scarification at the time. My answer was “No, its ‘just marker.. He didnt laugh much hehe.
What do you share in common?
Well we have completely different music tastes which was very, very weird to adjust to, but we share many things in common, like our tastes in art and design. Whatever living space, building or product – we have this identical taste in patterns and color palettes, even with things like walls or flooring. Perhaps we should start an interior design business? Ii dont need him with me when checking stuff for new’a flat or presents for people.
We like the same dog breeds, same brands, we have the same sense of humor which is perfect. I think other girlfriends or wives would get very offended with some of the things I find funny. We both can take jokes (me more haha). As far as cultural differences go, I think he’s more white than any angmoh in Singapore and I can be very asian at times…so, perfect!
What was the wedding planning process like, and and how did the big day go?
Zero Planning. As I’ve said before, I started this blog mainly because I couldn’t find anything I liked when I wanted to. I got one of my clients to make me a dress that I dreamt up and we just went on to get married without telling anyone.
An off-beat romance. I love it. Any advice for couples to be who are setting a date? Yes read this blog!!! Haha, good one! Follow us for more laughs. If you have a question for Jana, post it below! Check out Jana’s and Sam’s work >>> Ensof Photography | Mudohori Tattoo
