Foska, 29, and her brother Benjamin, 23 both grew up in Bratislava, Slovakia. Foska works as an assistant in Auction House and does event management in Refresh Music Club. Benjamin is a freelance tattoo artist. We catch up with Foska as she talks about tattoos and Papa Roach. What is it like having tattoos in Slovakia? Do people react towards them positively or negatively? I think it is getting better . There are still come conservative people around and weird reactions from rude people but as I said, the reactions are getting better. We hope the negativity dies down.
It is so cute to see both siblings with tattoos. How did you guys fall in love with tattoos?
We fell in love with tattoos in high school. I dreamed about getting tattooed since I was a kid. Literally. We are from an artistic family so I guess that is why body art became an interest to us. We love to express ourselves with ink.
Our matching tattoos are inspired by our favourite music band Papa Roach. After watching our first Papa Roach concert, we got matching “name of song” tattoos. We saw them a second time and had a blast with a band leader Jacoby Shaddix, so we decided to get a Papa Roach lyric tattoo.
Any future ink plans?
Hmm I want to finish my right left sleeve and Benjamin wants to start a second sleeve.
